History – Our Pasts

History is the branch of knowledge dealing with past events. People know what happened in the past by looking at things from the past sources (like books, newspapers, etc.) and artefacts (like pottery, tools, human or animal remains etc.). By understanding where we have come from, we can better understand who we are.
